When they are born they are tiny. I posted a photo back onSept. 2, 2015 of a branch with lots of little pine cones. The photo came out a bit dark yet I like the feeling of gestation/incubating I get from this. Interestingly when the winds came up in the winter all the small green pine cones on that branch fell off. I noticed a couple of days ago that a new crop is coming in.
