Dropping my son Andrew off at San Francisco airport as he heads to India (via Hong Kong and Singapore) to spend Christmas with Amma in Amritapuri.
A part of me so longs to go and another part feels greatly relieved at not embarking on a seemingly interminable series of flights!

I’m happy for him too although rap and rock music has been BLASTING for an hour, probably a band practicing for New Years. Simultaneously, there is rebar being cut outside my window. And the sound of the big crowds. I’m feeling sick today so part of me is longing to be alone in my Seattle house! 🙂
