  2. I would love to visit Santa Fe and see these beautiful buildings in real life – they do seem to blend into the environment! Amazing how this humble structure has withstood weather, time and people and is still standing today for us to admire!

    • I do hope you find your way out to Santa Fe sometime. It’s such an inspiring place. And yes, this humble house has withstood a lot and it has been well cared for over the years which is probably why it is still standing.

  3. I liked the contrast of blue to the adobe color in the first picture. I have to get to New Mexico some day!

  4. I love all the details, especially the wood on the windows…the graceful shaping.

  5. Very nice pictures but quite young houses to be honest.

    • Glad you enjoy the pictures and as far as age everything is relative. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call it the oldest known house built by European conquistadores who came to the North American continent 500 years ago.

      • Oh, this longlasting actual heat is emptying my head and dazzling my perception, so I was sure to have read that the houses are from 1823, now I have looked again and saw the real age 1646. This is of course very old!
