  1. There is no concept of time when the skies are covered in a smoky haze. Looks eerily beautiful.

    • Yes, it’s like the light doesn’t change much troughout the day. The light does have a unique and eerie beauty. Today the surrounding hills and mountains aren’t even visible and it all feels extremely eerie.

    • Yes, it is quite intense. At times it reminds me of Mexico City in the winter, back in the 70’s, when the volcanoes disappeared behind the haze. I haven’t been back since the late 90’s.

    • Yes all these fires are devastating. All the smoke here comes from fires miles away. Every summer the hills here get dry and baked. They just look a lot more eerie seen with and through the smoke.

    • Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I’m glad you enjoyed the images. I enjoyed the challenge. It got me thinking and realizing how the smoke here has become an everyday moments… at least for now. Praying for early rains.
