My father liked to tell the story of his visiting Treasure Island during the 1939-40 World’s Fair. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply ↓ Arati January 24, 2019 • 8:09 pm WOW! I imagine that was awesome. The place looks very run down these days. There are all these old worn down barracks that I think would be great subjects for black and white. A big portion of the island is surrounded by chain link fencing and there is a lot of destruction and construction going on. It didn’t feel like an inviting place to be. Then again it was the morning of January 1 and the place look pretty desolate. Maybe I’ll go back later in the year, on a regular day.
