Give me light

An image bubbles up
unbeknownst
finding its way to the surface .

From a distant place
an imploring whisper
grows louder,
flowing forth
through gnarly,
twisted branches
of wars
and supreme court decisions

“Give me love, give me light, give me hope, give me peace on earth…”

George Harrison’s voice,
a guitar,
and piano
soothing my soul.

  1. There is a class to those old style lamps that just isn’t found in modern street lights, Arati, and the tree seems to know it. –Curt
