As of a couple of hours ago 60,000 acres have burnt and containment is at 5%.
Last week I was in the Midwest where there has been flooding. I went back to revisit the Fox River and was stunned. For a moment I couldn’t figure out what I was seeing!

It’s hard to fathom …. almost like the elemental olympics with fire and water both throwing of their best (worst) and refusing to concede victory to the other.
